DOZER OPERATOR

Operate dozer to move, spread and strip earth, rock, gravel or other materials

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating the dozer in a safe and efficient manner
Working in harmony with other forestry equipment to keep operations running efficiently
Daily machine inspections
Daily machine maintenance including greasing and fueling
Operating CB radio
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 or equivalent
Forest Pit and Road Construction Equipment Operator – Common Core
Machine Qualification or experience (preferred)

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities
The ability to work effectively with others
Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines
Fine attention to detail and focusing for long periods of time
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

Top of the line equipment, equip with air conditioning and heating
Various weather conditions (spring, summer, fall, winter)
Dirt and dust
Vibration caused by machine and rough terrain

HOURS / SHIFTS 40 hours per week
